The #678 Dew Shield inhibits the deposition of dew on the lens surface in climates prone to high nighttime moisture in the air. Threads securely and quickly onto the front lens cell of the Meade ETX-125 including PE and AT models.
In moist climates or on evenings with high humidity water particles suspended in the atmosphere may condense on the front surface of a compound telescope’s front glass element, commonly referred to as a correcting plate. This dew formation may be inhibited significantly by the attachment of a dew shield, allowing greater observing time. The dew shield is essentially a tube extension, physically preventing dew from as easily collecting on the front glass.
Molded in lightweight and durable black plastic with low reflective finish. Compatible with all models of ETX-125 past and present.
