Dew shields are an effective defense against the build-up of dew on your optics. At the same time they improve contrast by keeping stray light from bouncing off of the primary lens.
The Meade dew shield threads onto the front lens cell, and can be stored on the telescope when both are not in use by turning the shield around and sliding it over the tube assembly. What could be more convenient?
