Astrovid - StellaCam3 MONOCHROME CCD Video Integrating Imaging System With Cooled Thermal Management
System
The Astrovid StellaCam3 is now available as a COOLED video camera system. The Cooled StellaCam3
represents the pinnacle of astronomical monochrome video imaging!
Meade is excited to announce the NEW Deep Sky Imager III. This next step up in the DSI camera line
brings numerous new features and enhancements that allow the user to achieve a higher level of imaging
with the same ease of use and low cost that has made the DSI the camera of choice for so many beginning
and advanced astro-imagers.
Deep Sky Imager II™ The user-friendly astrophotography
revolution continues. Introducing the new DSI II. It combines
ease-of-use with a larger chip, greater sensitivity, higher
resolution, and dramatically lower thermal noise. Meade engineers
have invented a remarkable new way to reduce noise without a cooler.
This means you can take exposures for hours at a time. And the new
thermal monitoring sensors automatically match your dark frames to
ambient temperature so it’s nearly impossible to take an
uncalibrated picture. The software includes a new zoom feature for
easier focusing and the squared pixels of the new larger chip make
processing simpler and images more beautiful than ever. The DSI II
is the world’s first un-cooled camera with low thermal noise. And
that’s as cool as it gets.
Meade’s exciting new LPI (Lunar Planetary Imager) can be used on
any telescope for making images! It’s VGA resolution (640x480)
color CMOS chip is capable of creating high-quality lunar and
planetary images, as well as daytime terrestrial images. And with
the capability to make long exposures, you can digitally capture
bright deep sky objects with the LPI system that only costs a
fraction of a typical astronomical CCD imager system.
Simple, Powerful, and Low Cost.
These were the design goals for the ST-402ME camera: We wanted
something simple and easy to use yet powerful enough to carry the
\”ST\” model prefix. The new ST-402ME is seen at right equipped
with the optional T-thread to C-mount adapter ring and lens. For
use at the telescope, a 1.25\” nosepiece screws into the T-threads
of the front plate.
