apogee - Alta U47-MB CCD Camera with Class 1 E2V CCD47-10 Sensor & Midband Coatings

    * The Apogee Alta U47MB-1 comes with a class 1 back-illuminated E2V CCD47-10 (1024 X 1024 pixel array) full-frame sensor with
very high quantum efficiency.
    * The MB version of the Alta U47 sensor has standard grade one midband coatings.
    * High resolution, high quantum efficiency, advanced cooling, and low noise make the Apogee U47 one of the most powerful
systems available.
    * USB 2.0 Interface.
    * The price shown is based on full payment at the time of order. Scroll down to read more about Apogee's rules regarding
pricing & pre-payment.

The Apogee Alta U47 is the most sensitive, cost-effective, back-illuminated CCD Apogee offers, and it is especially well suited
for astronomy. This CCD has 13u pixels, 1K x 1K and a very broad and high QE curve. These are the same Grade 1 Midband coated
47-10 CCDs from E2V that have been standard for the U47 since its introduction. UV coatings and Grade 0 sensors are available at
additional cost.

The U47 has a fast readout time (less than 2 seconds) and a typical noise of 6-8e- at 700Khz. High resolution, high quantum
efficiency, advanced cooling, and low noise make the U47 one of the most powerful systems available. Apogee was the first to
introduce cost-effective back-illuminated CCD technology a decade ago with the AP7, and they have done it again with the U47. Back
illuminated technology has long been the choice for professional astronomers, but has traditionally been out of reach to many with
lower budgets - until now.

The Apogee Alta U47 has a back-illuminated full frame megapixel CCD with exceptionally high quantum efficiency. The included
midband coating (U47-MB) has the highest peak in the visible; the optional broadband coating (U47-BB) has somewhat higher QE in
the near UV but lower QE across the visible. The UV-enhanced version (U47-UV) has the highest QE in the UV (See the quantum
efficiency curve)

Apogee Special Pricing

In order to take advantage of the discounted pricing advertised on Woodland Hills Telescope's website, Apogee
requires payment in full at the time of order. This pre-payment is required regardless of whether the camera is readily available
or there is a lead-time, since WHCT is required to pay the full amount due when we place your order.

If you'd like to order this camera without prepaying, that's not a problem, but the price will be a bit higher. To find out what
the price would be, you can call WHCT at 1-888-427-8766 or email our
, and we will provide pricing and lead times, if any.
