stored in the IntelliScope’s databank. It’s like having your own personal tour guide to the
universe!
The optical tube rides on our state-of-the-art Dobsonian base, equipped with springless
CorrecTension friction control for smooth movement and always-perfect tube balance.
This telescope comes complete with a 1.25” rack-and-pinion focuser, two Sirius Plossl eyepieces,
finder scope, eyepiece rack, ”nav” knob, carrying handle, and snap-on dust cap.
The idea of owning your first telescope intrigues you, but you worry that you’ll need help
finding cool celestial objects to view
Well don’t worry, be happy — the SkyQuest XT6 IntelliScope will find them for you!
This remarkable scope combines powerful reflector optics with point-and-view simplicity in one
very portable package. And with the addition of the optional IntelliScope Computerized Object
Locator, even the novice stargazer will be able to locate thousands of celestial wonders stored
in the IntelliScope’s databank. It’s like having your own personal tour guide to the universe!
You just select an object to observe using the Object Locator’s illuminated menu buttons
(Galaxies, Clusters, Nebulas, etc.), or choose a pre-set tour of the best objects, then press
Enter. The IntelliScope’s high-resolution, 9,216-step digital encoders direct the telescope right
to the object, placing it squarely in the telescope’s field of view.
The XT6 IntelliScope eschews battery guzzling motors, complicated setup procedures, and flimsy
mountings characteristic of many other computerized entry-level scopes. Instead you get a big
150mm parabolic mirror with 80% more light grasp than a 4.5” mirror, for brighter, more detailed
images. You get a streamlined Dobsonian base of unflinching stability yet easy portability. And
you get a host of features not found on any other Dobsonians, including our exclusive, springless
CorrecTension system for superior tube balance and motion control. All for a great price.
Whether you use your XT6 with the IntelliScope Computerized Object Locator or without it (you can
always add it later), find out just how much fun a smarter, well-made beginner’s scope can be.
