These filters are positioned within a thin metal ring with a full 26mm clear aperture that threads into the barrel of any standard 1.25" eyepiece or filter wheel that can accept 1.25" filters. They help to increase contrast and reduce glare and light scattering. Each filter is threaded at both ends to accept another filter if required. Filters come inside individual plastic cases with a transparent window.

Five filters are supplied. A bright L type filter to aid with focusing, one Red, one Green and two Blue filters. The following filters are recommended for imaging purposes when used with a monochrome camera.

To obtain natural colour please use the following filters:

Kodak Wratten values:

#25A Red
#58 Green
#47 Violet (blue

If you require higher sensitivity in the brighter #80A filter can be used instead of the blue the #47 Violet filter.

You may wish to use this filter in conjunction with the Opticstar IR cut-off filter if you want to exclude IR beyond 660nm.
