COLLIMATE YOUR SCHMIDT-CASSEGRAIN STYLE OR NEWTONIAN STYLE TELESCOPE WITHOUT TOOLS
It′s easy . . . just grab a Bob′s Knob and turn. You can even do it while looking
through the eyepiece on most scopes. And you′ll never drop that pesky little Allen wrench
or screwdriver into the grass again. Installation is a snap with the included instructions, and
you can undo the modification at any time.
Fits: All Meade 10 inch (25 cm) f/5 Lightbridge telescopes. Also fits Zhumell and GSO 10
inch telescopes.
Knobs:
Primary collimation: Black plastic, 30 mm (1-1/4 inch) diameter, 5-point fluted
Primary locking: Black plastic, 25 mm (1 inch) diameter, knurled
Secondary collimation: Black plastic, 13 mm (1/2 inch) diameter, knurled
Threads: Black oxide or zinc plated steel (primary adjustment); stainless steel (primary
locking); black oxide or chrome plate (secondary)
Note1: The factory dust cover will fit normally with secondary knobs installed.
Note2: The telescope optical tube assembly will clear the rocker box with primary knobs
installed.
Note3: Primary mirror springs as supplied by the factory can sag from the weight of the
mirror cell. Our stainless steel replacement springs are stronger and provide adequate support to
maintain primary mirror collimation. We recommend that the mirror locking screws remain in place
for additional control.
