MotoDec

MOTODEC is an electric declination motor providing vibration-free, direct-drive declination adjustments
necessary for visual and photographic use. It features a variable speed adjustment for coarse and fine
correction as well as a friction clutch for manual adjustment on some models. Precise positioning is
accomplished through electronic braking. Mounting is easy with no drilling or tapping (except where noted).

R. A. stands for Right Ascension. A right ascension motor is sometimes called a tracking motor because it
allows a telescope to track the movement of the stars across the night sky, or a clock drive motor because
that movement is measured in clock based hours, minutes and seconds. All of our R. A. motors have a clutch
for manual override.
